Your input is needed! In the last two years, CEO Kevin Smith has welcomed creative ideas from the community on Minnesota Orchestra programing and operations. That commitment to openness and inclusion is a hallmark of the “Minnesota Model” the Orchestra is now building. As part of the planning process, Kevin would like Orchestra Excellence members to provide feedback on some proposed programming initiatives aimed at increasing audience expansion and engagement.
Kevin’s email (attached below) includes a link to a survey that outlines the possible initiatives and the goals that these are intended to support. Each section has space for comments. We hope you’ll take the time to provide your thoughts and ideas; the musicians, Board and staff want to hear the insights of the Orchestra’s passionate and loyal supporters.
If you need time to think about the various proposals, it’s possible to work on the survey a little at a time; you can stop for a while and then restart. When you’re finished, just click the “done” button. The survey is due July 15 – we hope you’ll be able to participate.
To our many passionate advocates,
In keeping with the spirit of the new Strategic Plan, we want to capture the creativity of all the members in our family as we begin to define what it means to build The Minnesota Model. We’ve assembled a small steering committee of musicians, staff and Board with the purpose of identifying opportunities for program innovation outside the core classical season. Before we reach out to our audiences and the greater community, we want to provide all of you the opportunity to share your ideas as well.
Please use the link provided here to complete a brief survey and forward this email to your Board and membership as you feel appropriate.
We ask that you respond by Friday, July 15 and in return, you will be entered to win a $100 Gift Certificate that may be used for tickets and merchandise.
We appreciate all that you do to support this great Orchestra. We wouldn’t be where we are today without each and every one of you, and we welcome your feedback and suggestions as we chart the way forward.
Thanks for your enthusiastic participation,
